Primrose Hill Pet Shop & Dog Grooming Salon

Our North London boutique sits on Regent's Park Road, a two-minute walk from the foot of Primrose Hill itself. Pet shop at the front, grooming salon behind — and the natural home for the Hampstead customers who moved to us when that boutique closed.

The Best Pet Products in North London

Few London neighbourhoods walk their dogs as thoroughly as this one. Between the summit path, the Regent's Canal towpath and the length of Regent's Park, a Primrose Hill dog covers real ground before breakfast — so the pet products in Primrose Hill we stock start with the walk. Fitted harnesses and long lines, waterproof and towelling drying coats, muddy-paw towels, collapsible bowls and high-visibility collars for the winter climb up the hill in the dark.

Behind that sits the food. Raw and gently cooked fresh diets in the freezers, cold-pressed and air-dried complete ranges, and single-protein options for the sensitive stomachs that come with the doodles and spaniels of NW1. We will look at a label with you and say honestly whether a change is worth making.

Beds, treats and the Regent's Park Road habit

Regent's Park Road is a coffee-and-a-loaf sort of street, and plenty of customers come in on the way back from the park for a chew and nothing else. The natural treat wall is stocked accordingly — fish skins, venison chews and slow-release stuffables — alongside the In Residence Italian bed collection in the sizes that suit a Victorian flat.

Professional Dog Groomers near Regent's Park

Puppy grooming in Primrose Hill — a golden retriever puppy ready for its first groom
Puppy's First Groom: short, gentle and unhurried, so the salon starts off as a good place.

Looking for a dog groomer near me in NW1? Our salon is a few doors along Regent's Park Road, which makes the routine simple: walk the hill, drop the dog, collect a clean one later. It is the busiest grooming diary in North London for us, so booking a week or two ahead is wise — particularly for Saturdays.

The local mix is coat-heavy: cockapoos and labradoodles that mat behind the ears and under the harness, spaniels with feathering full of canal mud, and a good number of retrievers that need de-shedding rather than clipping. Pet Pavilion was named Best UK Pet Groomer 2025 by the Pet Industry Federation, and every groom here starts with a proper coat and skin assessment.

Grooming services at our Primrose Hill salon

  • The Bath — A thorough wash, blow-dry, ear cleanse, nail trim and finishing cologne — ideal between full grooms.
  • The Tidy — A full bath plus a tidy of the face, paws and sanitary areas, keeping your dog neat without a restyle.
  • The Full Groom — A complete groom nose to tail, with a breed-specific cut and a coat and skin health assessment.
  • Puppy's First Groom — A gentle, unhurried introduction so your puppy learns the salon is a good place to be.

Getting Here & Parking

Chalk Farm (Northern line) is about five minutes on foot, and Camden Town is a fifteen-minute walk along Regent's Park Road. Buses 274 and 393 stop on Regent's Park Road itself, with the 31, 168 and 46 running along Chalk Farm Road nearby. Parking is metered on Regent's Park Road and controlled in the surrounding streets; the bays outside turn over steadily, and grooming customers are welcome to leave the car and take the hill while they wait.
